Workshop on Medical Ethics

Today Rotaract Club of KIST Medical College has successfully accomplished the Workshop on Medical Ethics with 25 actively participating medical students from different colleges and more than 50 audiences in total.
As a guest of honour Dr. Satish Deo spoke about his knowledge, experience and the state of medical ethics in our country. Dr. Ramesh Kant Adhikari, Dr. Bidur Osti and Dr. Amshu Pradhan also gave their valuable presentation regarding the topic. "This session really broadened our concept and ideas, it was worthed staying" one of the participant gave her feedback.
"Though there were flaws in mgmt somewhere at the beginning, the program has taken its pace now. I am so happy with this much of participation it has exceeded our expectation" The Personality development officer of RAC KIST, Rtr. Prashant Bhattarai stated during the session.

Free GYNECOLOGY and OBSTETRICS HEALTH CAMP and CERVICAL CANCER SCREENING at Lagan chock, Kathmandu.  On the date of Dec 02 2017 Our club in collaboration with KIST Medical College organised the program. More than 85 women of differnt age group were treated and CERVICAL CANCER SCREENING was performed.  A medical team consisting Dr. Manisha Bajracharya (dpt of OBGYN, KISTMCTH), DR. Peru Pradhan (dpt of GYOBN, PHECT KIRTIPUR hospital), Dr.  Amita Pradhan  Dr  Ang Tshering Sherpa , Dr  Neeti Singh  ( dpt of community medicine, KISTMCTH) and 16 rotaractors (MBBS STUDENTS) with support of Parent Rotary- ROTARY CLUB OF CHANDAGIRI and local club of lagankhel the camp was succesful.

General meeting of August

Rotaract Club of KIST Medical College has successfully conducted its 3rd GENERAL MEETING of month August,35 rotaracters participated the program. The meeting was formally started at 4.00 pm with meeting call of president  Beebaychan Kasiv Thapa  than Secretary  Prativa Subedi ,PDO  Prashant Bhattarai , Treasurer  Aakriti Pandey  gave their brief presentation on updates and reports about all the projects and events conducted by the club. The meeting also included discussion on different agendas and plans of club with feedback of all the participants.

Opthalmic Screening at Home Heritage, Lazimpat

Today Rotaract club of Kist Medical College has successfully conducted “Free Ophthalmic Screening and health camp Phase I” in “Hope Hermitage “; an old age home consisting mainly Alzheimer's patients ,situated in Lazimpat. Total number of patients screened were 43 which included the elderly people of the old age home , staffs and also the local people. Around 14 rotaracters and other volunteers along with three interns were present to make this program a grand success. Cli nical examination such as visual acquity, reflex and binocular movements were done and the majority of chief complaint was found to be blurring of vision. And those patient in need of treatment were provided with free medicine. This was the completion of first phase of the screening and those who are in need of further treatment and management will be brought to Kist Medical College and teaching hospital.
